Peter M. Smith, M.B.A.
Since 1988, Peter has worked with senior managers, managers, management and work teams, committees and work groups to help them achieve the results they want. These results are achieved through range of organizational consulting methods which may include change processes, strategic and other planning methods, team development, redesigning work flow, leadership training, and coaching.
Peter’s ability to listen, help the client diagnose what is working and what needs to be changed, coupled with depth and breadth of experience that enables him to create tailored consulting processes that work is the key for clients achieving the results they want and need. Client involvement has the impact of better problem/opportunity diagnoses, solutions that are faster and better suited to the organization and person, and develop much greater capacity to deal effectively with on-going change required in today’s work place.
His clients include over 80 organizations from a range of sectors including: health care, human services, engineering, energy services, and high technology.
His experience includes over 13 years in management, including responsibilities as Budget Director for Central Maine Power Company and President/CEO of BayPort Title Company.
He was a faculty member with the Department of Organization & Management at Antioch University New England, where he taught courses in organization development and change leadership, work redesign, systems, group development, organizational strategy, and leadership for 20 years.
He is a graduate of Youngstown State University (MBA), the University of Maine (B.S.), and NTL Institute for Applied Behavioral Sciences with a certificate in organization development.
He is a member of the National Organization Development Network, the Association for Psychological Type, and the Massachusetts Bay Organization Learning Group.
